Spider's BD Regionals report......with pics.

Fabulous result, well done. The distraction with horses coming into vision sounds like more of a young/inexperienced horse thing so hopefully he will grow out of it! He hasn't been out that much has he because he qualified very easily?

Thank you all very much for your kind comments.

Yes Thistle, you're right. It's hard to know if it is just young horse or stallion, I think it's a combination of both and hopefully he'll improve with experience. Hopefully he'll be better at the nationals where the horses are visible all the time rather than suddenly appearing in a gap in the trees but who knows?!!
We're just going to go and enjoy it, although I do confess to being much more nervous as an owner rather than a rider!!!

Fabulous piccies! And well done on the qualification!

We were there on Saturday and saw a stallion in the prize giving that was getting very excited. The young girl riding around in front of it didn't have a clue and kept pulling her horse up sharply with the stallion pretty much bumping into the back of her horse, getting more wound up. The stallion was so well behaved in the circumstances and the rider very chilled and in control, but it could have led to something nasty.

I wish people had more of a clue sometimes!!

Congratulations - great results and great pics!

I have a feeling your boy sired one of my farrier's horses....might be totally mistaken though!

Fanblinkintastic!!! He really is living up to your belief in that ickle foal pic you saw, all those years ago eh!

I adore Spider - it's kind of a shame that he and M can't be bred... though that said, 100 years or so ago they might well have been lol

Well done :D adore Spider, what a handsome fella.

I now know who you are (have seen you on the forum before but didn't realise)

Lots of luck for the nationals.

WOW!!! He fills the eye with pleasure!! Where can I find more information about him? I have a Stravinsky x Sherlock Holmes mare that has just retired and I would certainly consider him for her!
