He is now in full ground work being lunged on a regular basis doing very well. We have the go ahead to get back on once we have the saddle fitted. He was put out with the rest of the herd for the first time since his op today and this was the result. Its so lovely to see him back out again.

Hopefully the next piccies will be ridden ones

Ah bless Spike and Axey, how funny that they walked off together like that in the beginning.

Those pictures of him before his op have almost made me cry, he looks so unhappy, compared to him now especially. The first one of the day before the op he looks like he's in agony.

Thats great to see HalfPass - I'll have to take a pic of Norm's back where he had his op over 2 years ago now! I'm very used to the dip now though, I find it strange to groom a horse with a normal back! Good luck with getting back on board, don't be disheartened if he's not right straight away, it took Norm a while to realise that it didn;t hurt any more, and he was always better out hacking than in the school in the beginning. Off to bedski now but keep us updated on his progress!

Doesn't he just. I'm gonna get some piccies of him tomorrow thought I had some more up to date ones of him on my computer. He is unrecognisable now isn't he?

Thanks for posting, really interesting - my horse had KS surgery 4 weeks ago and I must take some pics to remind myself in the future how far we have come. Do you think he will always have a bit of a dip in his back? My vet has warned me that he may do but will be less obvious when muscled up.

Hi Halfpass,
I don't know you as I'm new here, but what a lovely wee horse you have! Such a gentleman!
He looks really relaxed now, thank you for sharing his progress notes.
I hope all goes well for you and him in the future.

I know its such an amazing story. Lets just hope that when Dave gets on him tomorrow we'll have more good reports to post.
If I don't post tomorrow at all its because i'm in A&E with my OH Dave!!!!
