I fed it alongside alfabeet. It was ok, she didn't put weight on but she was quite stressy at her old yard. She scoffed every scrap though and she can be fussy, she was quite shiny too. If it's just weight gain you're after I can recommend alfabeet, I was recommeded it by a baileys expert as mine won't eat plain alfalfa and it's been the first of 3 winters that her ribs haven't made an appearance.
Find it really good. Originally fed just with meadowherb and made a bidg difference - my friend thought so too after seeing it work for me and trying it on her horse. Now feed with conditioning cubes too as upped workload quite a bit.Would definately recommend it
I fed this over the winter and have now moved onto Cool Fibre for the summer.
I feed it with Top Spec Leisure Time Balancer and thats it!
she is 15hh 441kg and has 2kg a and day with a measure of the balancer, she did really well on it, but I found her a bit hyper as the grass started coming through so I have switched to Cool Fibre fed at the same rate for the summer.
