Hi guys

A friend of mine has been told that her daughters pony has spinal compression in at least 2 areas with a 60% chance in can be rectified with cortisone injections in the compressed areas. They're having a myelograph later this week to see better where the compression is and if it can be treated.

Can anyone offer any advice or guidance on 'spinal compression' and prognosis for the future of the pony? I've never heard of the condition!

cheers

I've had a few spinal decompressions on my spine after failed cortisone injections. Can't say if it's the same op for horses. Cortisone injections do work for some people but didn't for me guess it's the same with animals. Not sure if that's much help.
