I just saw it on sky news. 17 are ready for rehoming. The RSPCA wants 4 shetlands to stay together as companion ponies. They didn't show the others, but they are all looking for 'special' long term loan homes.
On the good side: Most of the horses I have seen pictures of have been really something and I'm sure they will have no problem finding loaners who will treasure them.
On the bad side: The RSPCA are going to be inundated with 'numpty' calls from people who only want to help, but have no knowledge of what is involved. I don't envy anyone the task of sorting out the genuine from the well meaning.
All of that said; it will be wonderful for all those horses, pony's and donkey's to find caring homes, after all they have been through.
