Since field injury last year mare hacking booted all round, feet changing, now smaller, not doing anything exciting, need short term solution to stop boot spinning whilst I work out what to do next

If the feet are changing shape then you may need to re measure and get a different size. It’s always an issue as the feet change shape but there is a good market for second hand barely used boots at a fraction of the cost of brand new. Hoof Boutique has a used section and there are some FB pages as well. If you don’t want to buy more and there is space you could try a pad in the bottom of your current boots. I generally cut up old yoga mats but depending on the make of boot you can buy the real thing.

My Draft horse's feet were perfectly round, so her boots used to spin round. I found that padding them worked reasonably well.
