My horse has a small splint on his foreleg. It is hard and been there a little while.

I have heard a possibly wives take that half a lemon on the leg overnight over time reduces the lump. Is this true or myth?

Anyone got any suggestions as to how to erradicate it??

Sorry its in New lounge, not many people viewing in vet section. Thanks

There's only one way to find out really

Sorry to jump in. T_W how does Splintex work? I've found their website but it doesn't say how it works

Sorry, I have no idea of what is in it, or how it works, but have heard enough anecdotal stuff locally to be convinced that it does

i have heard of olive oil being used on splints and lumps/bumps. scrub the splint with an olive oil soaked toothbrush for a good few minutes a day - was said to have worked a bit but not removed it 100% but it was a big splint to start off with!
