Hi, i would like some advice. i am about to rehome a rescue pony, he is a 14.1 new forest gelding age 12. 3 years ago he had a splint removed, the person that owned him never gave him a full recovery period only about 3 weeks they then started to ride him hard, 3 years on he can have light work onbly, which i am quite happy about i just want an old plodder to walk trot around the farm and occasional cnter once 2 to 3 times a week if that. i want to give him a loving and caring home and if a bit of riding happens thats a bonus. When he had the op he was given two boxes of medication and was only ever given about 5 sachets of it. he still has to have a bute type powder on hs bad days. can anyone advise wether to take this pony on or steer clear and if there is likely to be anyhope of him ever being sound. i appreciate any advice
