Where I work there is a big warmblood mare, she was a showjumper but now just a potter around the arena girl, she is very upright with boxy feet.
About 6 months ago she damaged her coronet band, it all gets a bit long winded here but fast forward to today, there is a open crack the whole of her hoof, down to the floor, she is lame on that hoof and the crack is bleeding. Is it likely it will ever heal? She now has heartbars and pads on.
