I rung the vet today and explained my horses outburst over the weekend.
It turns out my horse does indeed have kissing spines!!! The vet apologised for not being clearer with the diagnosis and said it's because her vertebrae are not actually touching, they are just very close so she didn't want to label it as kissing spines and she was certain that the steroid injection was going to work.
The plan is now to book her in for a bone scan to make sure for certain that is where the pain is coming from and if it is, then I have to make the decision to put her through the op or not.
