My beloved 12 year old mare has just been diagnosed to have the above 3 conditions :( apparently the kissing spines are in 5 different places and the spondylosis is currently active. Her stifle has arthritic changes and bony growths. Does anyone have any successes they can share? Feeling very sad about it, especially as she has stoically put up with so much pain :(

I can only give you advise on the KS and arthritis. My 8 year old gelding was diagnosed with KS in Nov 2012, he had two process removed and then he had a three month rest and returned to work gradually. Once he was back in full work his hocks were assessed and we injected them in April. He is fabulous now :) :) so much fun to ride and not a lunitic anymore he has made a better than full recovery and we went for our first gallop yesterday which a year ago was not an option. We have a page on facebook horses with kissing spine there are lots of lovely stories on there and lots of people with lots of different issues. Fingers and toes crossed for you xx
