Sponsership Scam

How rude calling Kitty a mug? These are obviously serious, pro conmen and i dare say they could trick any of us. Kitty must be feeling awful enough as it is without random people having a pop..

Ditto this.

I think its extreemly rude of you to call her a mug. They could probably scam any of us, including you if they wanted to!

There's a mug born every minute - and conmen only have to find one or two a week to make a nice living!

Any athletes who fell for that should reflect onthe old adage "A fool and his money are soon parted!"

yes sadly true... its a shame for the victims however also shows that a little rain can fall into seemingly perfect lives,

Somebody suggested on this forum that it might be a scam a few days ago and a few people got quite irate with them for suggesting it. But seems they may have been right after all....

Sorry - but anyone who falls for a 'give us some money and we'll give you lots more back' type scam IS a twit - and a mug! It's just a slightly more sophisticated version of the 'gee you've been chosen to help me move $xxx million out of Nigeria and I'll give you most of it for your trouble' type e-mails! You DON'T buy a pig in a poke! You check - and check again - that the people you are dealing with are legitimate before you part with hard-earned cash on a promise!

PARTICULARLY when they promise £500,000 to buy a horse!! Those sorts of sponsors are VERY thin on the ground - and almost always have a long-standing 'relationship' with a rider which started as a MUCH smaller sponsorship deal.

If it sounds too good to be true - it is!
