Hi I'm new so should probably introduce myself first! I'm Anne, I'm 22 and I have a gorgeous chestnut TB called George.
In July I was diagnosed with and underwent surgery for thyroid cancer. I'm still having treatment and have too many hospital appointments to be able to work so now my friends are all working (we graduated from uni this summer) I'm pretty bored and have decided I need a project! I'd love to organise a sponsored ride open to the public to benefit a thyroid cancer charity who have helped me a lot and Macmillan, who were amazing when my dad was dying of cancer 3 years ago. Which leads me to my question...how many of you would go on a sponsored ride in winter if the route had good footing? Do you think everyone would be put off by the weather? It's a big project so I'd hate to start organising it only for nobody to be interested
! I know summer is the more obvious choice, but I hope I will still be starting a full-time course in February so will be too busy to do it then
