sponsorship advice please - who in a company to write to?

we run our own company and am going to chat to our accountant to see if there are any tax breaks or advantages for sponsorship so will let you know if anything positive arises as it may help your case! I was a marketing manager and I wouldnt have known if someone asked me for sponsorship!! Good luck!

Never used to be any tax breaks - I asked my dad (accountant) - unless of course he was fibbing so he didn't have to sposor me

I would say its best to write to a named person and do a bit of research. Websites are good for giving you a feel for the company. Make sure you think about how you could be a good match for the company.
UK Sport Website has a very useful section called Get Sponsored!

I think a good pitch and biography with a personal touch help.

Good luck- I think we are all looking for that extra help.

this company used to sponsor me, then they changed hands and i didn't have anything to compete for a while, but now i do, i'm going to ask if there's any chance at all that they'll renew the support - i still have jackets, rugs etc with their name on, so it'll be minimum initial outlay for them, hopefully... i buy their stuff anyway, it's just a case of whether they'd let me have it for free again... well, here's hoping!
