Hi there

My name is Ellie, im 13 years old and very serious about the sport of showjumping. I have always wanted to become more proffesional about it. I am from the North of Scotland where there isnt many big shows. In the future years I want to find the right horse and qualify for bigger shows, such as HOYS.
But due to finincial difficulties, I am very rarely able to go further down south in scotland, and the nearest place that holds HOYS qualifiers is a 5-6 hour drive away, and it costs alot to get there.
This is where a sponsorship comes in - I am needing a company/firm to sponsor me so I am able to go further down to compete in big classes.
So can you please tell me if you know of any companies that would be interested in sponsoring me?
Thanks!

I think local companies, such as feed merchants and tack shops and the likes, are your best place to start. Try and get your name out there, and put together something which explains what you can do for the company. I'd probably start small- any help is help, and if you can get little bits then they soon add up and more people notice you.

Im 15 and ive been trying for the past year to get sponsorship for showjumping. Its REALLY hard, most people arent interested or are allready sponsoring! Good luck

It's very very hard!! My daughter has also been trying for about a year & she already competes nationally at SJ. Although your location may be a positive for you, as where we are there are sooo many riders competing at a high level!! My advise would be to write tons of letters stating in what ways you can advertise their business & how far around the country you get. Wishing you very good luck xx
