ok i posted like hlf hr ago asking for comp names for my sisters 4 yr old, i was doing a pedigree check on her sire and his sire was danehill dancer and danehill dancer's sire is danehill.... nothing unusual there!!

well i decided to be nosey on my horse's pedigree (both are TBs) his sire is garuda, and garuda's sire is danehill!!!


SOOOOO! my boys grandad is my sister's mare's great grandad!

my boy came from some dealer in peterborough but was born in france and then went to ireland before racing in england and my sister's mare came from tattersalls in newmarket as a unbroken, unraced 1 yr old!

how weird is that, they are long lost relatives of somekind!!!

its such a small world perhaps it was fate that we ended up with both horses!

Not really, these TB stallions do get about. My Anglo mare, my part Shire, my full TB, my ISH and my KWPN all have Northern Dancer in their bloodlines so are related to yours and your sister's horses. They live about 20 miles from you and were bought from as far afield as Devon and North Yorkshire.
