Hi all,
Does anyone have a spooks jacket? I am looking at this one, http://www.spooks.de/turnier/showjackets/showjacket-724.html?farbe=NAVY&groessen_unisex=XXS
I am a showing person, but will be trying my hand at some low level dressage and to a lesser extent SJ soon. As such, want/need a navy jacket and quite fancy the technical material type jackets. Do you think this jacket is too "loud" for dressage? Also, has anyone a clue about the sizings? Or experience of them close up?

Thanks :) Tea and digestives on offer!

I remember when I first saw these jackets, I really wanted one! Then I started seeing them out at competitions, and TBH, they do look odd on! The white is really obvious, and I wouldn't wear one for dressage :o I don't think I could wear one in the hack ring either.

I recently upgraded to a Pikuer Skarlett jacket, I love it! The fit, the fabric, I got a grey collar which makes it a bit different without being overboard. Sorry I'm not much help!

No you are a help! Pikeur Scarlett is the other contender!! How did you find the sizings on that jacket? I will have to order online as not stocked in local tack shops. How is the arm length? Thanks :)

I tried one on and would say that sizing is not particularly generous. I do agree the white is very..white but I still like them! Would be tempted to go one size up if you are in between sizes.

The Skarlett is lovely (although it looked rubbish on me) and much cheaper than the Spooks ones!!

I used to be in love with Spooks.. back when ild never seen it on anyone but the modela in pictures. I was all prepared to put all my show money and birthday money together nd fork out for one. Then it came to the RDS this year, and everyone seemed to of got it.
And quite frankly..
I don't like it. It's very short (and ilve only seen it on slender teenagers) and if you buy your size looks very tight (even if its not, just on the back it looks it) I deffinately think the white would be too white esp. for dressage- i think the spooks sponsored riders on the facebook page for the aussie ones look quite weird.

The spooks jacket is now not allowed over here in NZ for dressage as the white lapels are too much apparently.
I've see one onthe flesh, and I really really wanted one but they look too Lycra -y and have that stretch sheen on them, like tights or elastic leggings!

I wanted one until like Lucy says ^^ we couldn't wear them for dressage *rolls eyes*
I ended up with the Skarlett and I love it. It looks really smart but the shorter fit makes it a bit more modern and I like the zips

I have a Skarlett on order, can't wait for it to arrive!

I found the sizing generous, I am a pretty standard 10 on top but have gone for an 8 as want it nicely fitted. They do a long length which has longer arms I believe.

If the white binding is too loud, then how about the Spooks Mika? Same cut and fabric but just has a little bit of red or blue piping on the collar - a bit more subtle.
