Is your horse better hacking from home, or hacking from a trailer? I've just finally got my spooky Connie hacking alone at home 🙌🏼 Next step is hacking alone away from home, which my friend said she found easier than hacking from home with her nappy horse. He's fab anywhere in company though!

I've found they are usually better hacking away from home in new places. I figure that horses are programmed to notice change and if they don't know the place they don't know what's changed.

Was talking about this just the other day. Like YCBM I think some are less spooky away from home - maybe because it’s all new so they are overloaded or that they react more to change and a new place has no change. They’re funny things. I’d say my two are more chilled at home. One is pretty chilled generally. For the other if he has company in a new place he’s also good. Not tested him so much in new places on his own but he’s more anxious generally.

Yes I must admit mine is often more spooky in the arena at home if the mounting block or something has moved, rather than at a competition 🤦🏼‍♀️
