Anyone have a spooky horse one day and a quiet one the next?

I have a new horse and still working out his personality however when i work him in menage at home he is a bit spooky in one corner but the next day he can be perfect! I have been and jumped him locally and he was fab, a bit spooky at the banners but once i started jumoing he forgot all about the scary banners and just got on with it, which to me is pleasing! Just dont get what his 'beef' is sometimes!!!???

He travels terribly in a trailer, bangs and scrapes but i'm trying to percivere there and get him used to it! Funnily enough hes perfect on board when he has a friend. Hes not clingy though to any other horse on my yard he just has to have a pal in the field but doesnt shout to other horses coming and going off the yard! Strange character but one I love.....I think!!!

You say he's new, it sounds like settling in to me I think sometimes in our excitement to get going with a newbie we don't give them a chance to get used to everything, it can take time and while they are they usually are better with four legged friend around.

Just try to be patient and let the bond grow with that the trust comes and it will be fine.:D
