Want to know everything there is to know about sport horse classes, re showing as would like to give them a go this summer

Tack?
Rider Clothing?
What is expected/display/jumping involved?
Tips/Tricks?

Will only be doing this on a local level. Any thoughts appreciated

I was thinking of posting a topic on the same subject. I have entered to do the flat ridden young sports horse classes at cheshire and midland counties, and not quite sure what they entail.
In the schedule for these specific classes it states snaffle bridles and the judge will not ride.

I was intending on wearing my usual turnout for a hunter class - tweed, shirt and tie, beige breeches, long leather boots, horse with a plain hunter snaffle bridle and no boots or anything.

I expect it will run like a show class - all go round together, then each horse do an individual show. I am not sure if they usually do a conformation stage.

I am guessing at this though, hopefully someone can clarify, and I hope this is all that happens, I don't think my 4 year old will be able to do anything else!
