I used them last year on a horse that had mud fever and they worked wonders as I they kept majority of mud off so could keep dry. Well worth the money and they still look like new now. They wash easily and also brush off well.

My friend tried the Sportbac's on her grey who gets horrendous mud fever and didn't rate them at all. Lots of problems with the fit etc. She then paid more but got some of the Equilibrium Equichaps and swears by them. She says they are well worth the extra money and that the cheaper Sportbac ones are false economy.

i tried the sportabacs on an arab i was loaning they were good, didnt slip, did let a little mud in around the pastern but only a few cm's

tried the equilibrium on my mud fever prone WHP - what a load of absolute rubbish, never havev a wasted so much money i will never buy any of there boots again!! she looked like nora batty they were right round her ankles and let loads of mud in - they probably actually aggravated the situation if anything.
