Phoenix is having his big boy operation today. The one that turns him from a multi purpose pet into a sports model.
As a puppy he broke his leg so he's used to the vets, they weigh him and fuss him and he sits with the nurse behind the counter in reception and helps the vet eat his lunch.
Today he didn't want to go. Ge put his paws round my waist and whined. He hid behind me and cried like a small child.
He is not a small child, he's a long legged american staff who stands as high as my knee and weighs 20kgs.
He's going to hate me isn't he?
I tried explaining that he'll be able to concentrate better afterwards and that he'll stop fancying his twin sister, and that he might stop trying to wee in the house so then he can watch tv with me again (he currently lives on the yard, we learnt from our mistakes!!), and that he won't catch them on the fence when he jumps it anymore.
It didn't help. He wants to keep them. I mean really wants to. OH couldn't even come to vets with us, he felt too bad about it.
He will forgive me eventually won't he?!!!!!
