Spot on advice

My vet has told me to get some spot on to treat my horses for lice. I just wondered with buying it do I say it's for cattle as it's supposed to be for cattle and sheep or will it be ok to say I am using it on my horses? Don't want to go to local feed merchants and them refuse to sell it to me as it isn't licensed etc

Any advice much appreciated

Just ask for it - no need to tell them why you want it!

Last time we bought some, I took the holding number with me just in case and wasn't asked for it.

My local Moles agri shop thingy always asks. Good luck. Vet coming out soon and told to bring something to deal with feather mites. I'm just hoping she does!

It's not a POM so unlikely to be an issue. I would say as little as possible but if challenged just say the vet told you to buy it.

Just a quick update - went to local feed merchants and bought some no problem at all - it is on prescription but no questions asked or holding number needed. All 3 treated this evening ��
