Spotted Cat's Monday Report Round Up (with Gratuitous Galloping Pics)

Boooooo hiss - pot hunter and I bet you do not ride in a snaffle in all 3 phases - call your horse properly trained?

PMSL!

Obviously you are right, I pay no heed to correct schooling and instead XC him in a pelham. It is pure laziness on my part. I am actually quite taken with all these ribbons I am getting, I may stay at unaff 80cm forever. ;)

I am happy to let you take him XC in a snaffle if you want though - you know where he lives, come and get him any time.....warn me though, the £250 from You've been framed will come in handy.....

He looks fab! I was at Bicton too, in class 2 Section B the same section as you? We finished 8th. :D

I agree with the dressage warm up, absolutely ridiculous! Jack hated it too but funnily enough did a good test!

Oh well done! Yes, same section. I couldn't quite understand the warmup - there was so much space in the field the arenas were in, made no sense to not be using it!

Thank you for reporting on your doings - it's been a long wait for us all! Worth the wait though, very well done, but we want more :)

You needn't think I've only borrowed them! I intend keeping them as long as possible, you'll have to fight me for them :p I rated last weekends 27 at about 35 and yesterdays 29 as about a 37. I know it's unaff so I'll probably get a rude awakening if I ever go affiliated again....but for now I don't care!

hmmmm - Ive experienced your dressage ratings before!!! I seem to remember doing a lovely polite test to be told it was about a 38/39 and in fact it was a 27.5 and if I remember rightly lead the section..... :D

Am glad to see all those hours of hard work have paid off and the SJ boot camp is working :D :D :D Well done!!

Id also like to be there with the video camera if someone wants to run him XC in a snaffle :D

It's true, I know bog-all about dressage! Or am I just a perfectionist?! ;) I will never be allowed to forget that dressage incident will I?! I have to say, I just do not know what you don't like about the pelham though, so fussy :p

I think TBH you probably should get the credit for the SJ, but yet again I am going to ignore that and claim the glory for myself!

well done, sounds like you've got it all together again. Brilliant start to the season, and kudos to you to step down a few levels; I genuinely believe that takes a lot of guts to face up to what's wrong and to take positive action to put it right. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks - but let's be honest, the horse didn't sell and I want to event, so I had to either man up or break out the Anky Pads, bandages and bling....and frankly I am just too much of a scruff to make it as a dressage diva - have you seen how clean they all are at all times?! And all their stuff matches. Nothing I own matches, it just becomes relegated to yard wear as it slowly becomes too hideous for even me to wear out in public  ;)

Being serious, I think Chatter1 will agree it has been a long road requiring much patience from her, and a quite bewildering level of tenacity (bordering on the delusional at times!) from me, so actually it is quite nice to get some decent results, even if they are at mini-ode level and not proper eventing!
