Has anyone spray painted bits of their trailer themselves? I have a Bateson Ascot and the grey wheel arch parts have faded in the sun over the years. Trailer looking a little tired so doing it up myself and cant afford pro job. Wondered if its doable to buy some sort of vehicle spray paint and do it myself? If so, can anyone recommend a spray (ideally from Amazon!)? And any tips? Obviously Ill need to cover absolutely everything round it especially as the trailer body is white.

I have seen this done too many times and never very successfully- unless you know what you are doing spraying is difficult especially outside - as wind and dust are your enemy. Oh and be careful not to allow the paint to drift over anyone elses vehicle -
Many years ago someone sprayed a car too near to mine and it cost 5k to respray which they had to bare.

Ok, you've put me off. We live rurally so only our own vehicles to ruin but no point if it wont look decent. Maybe itll just have to stay looking shabby and faded

20/20 paint especially for use on exterior metals but my trailer was done professionally in a spray booth.

That said we have painted inside with a roller (the orange Cadbury cream egg yolk colour) and it looks amazing.

And Dad's completely painted it inside and out at least twice since 1995!

Wouldnt that look terrible though? Its plastic over fibreglass, I imagine youd see all the brush marks.

You need to buy the paint from a supplier that supplies vehicle paints and tell them it is for brush application. We do quite a lot of touching up on a commercial fleet this way when we have polished out the scratches on fibreglass panels.

Alternatively, ask a vehicle paint supplier to provide your paint in aerosols.
