Hi all,
I haven’t had a pair of country boots in yeeeears but was given some Dublin boots my birthday yesterday, and now can’t remember if I need to spray them with a water-proofer/sealant/protector before I can wear them? I remember something about my mum spraying here before she ever wore them years ago but I cannot for the life of me remember, and perhaps it’s my wording but google isn’t turning up much either! ? Anyone able to shed any light? Thank you!

Looks very complicated, and spending a lot more with Dublin (!), to me. If a waxy type leather, as most country boots are, I would use a top end saddle leather conditioner with a high wax content, and/or Nikwax waxy shoe waterproofer. The conditioners I recommend are from cremedemonthe (unicornleather.co.uk) and Sedgwick (ebay).
