Sprenger bit thicknesses, please help!

Hi

Just wondered if someone could help me with a small problem I have at the moment as I am very confused!

I wanted to try my boy (16.2hh ID x WB) in a dynamic rs as I have heard very good things about them & he is quite sensitive in his mouth. He's currently in a 18mm kk ultra which is fine but I just wondered if I could make him even more comfortable.

My concern is that the dynamic rs I've seen comes in a 14mm thickness and I'm not sure if this will be too harsh?

I've always been told the thinner the bit the harsher it is tho I have also now seen that thinner bits are actually less bulky and therefore more comfortable?

I'm really confused now can someone advise?

I think the dynamic comes as standard in a 14mm but you can order a 16mm. dont think you can get an 18mm.

I have an ultra 14mm and really, it isnt that thin.
