When I posted about a seat saver to help with my joint issues (due to hypermobility), someone helpfully suggested some sprung stirrups may also help.

I rode with a friend's cheaper version yesterday and today and liked them so thought I'd invest in a pair for myself. After a bit of Googling though, it seems that it's worth going for the Sprengers, which I think I may do but which ones?

I do mainly schooling and hacking with a very little bit of jumping (not very high and just for fun).

Are the treads on the bow balance too wide?
Is the twisted shape comfortable?

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences.

I have both, and hypermobility. I find the bow balance better for ankle stability and comfort as you have more of the sole of your foot in contact with the stirrups. I love them personally.

Thanks for the replies. It's mainly my hips that I have problems with but I think that, as my ankles are very bendy, my heels tend to push down and cause my other joints to lock. I'm hoping that the flex in the stirrups will help with that.
