Sprenger bow balance stirrups

Hi all, I have done loads of research on this and cannot find a definitive answer.

The sprenger bow balance stirrups are labelled left and right which is easy enough. However, when you are in the saddle looking down on them should the sprenger writing face you so that you can read it or away from you?

Please don't answer saying that as long as the left is on the left etc that it doesn't matter as it does. The curve would be in a different shape depending on which way the stirrup was facing therefore making it safe or not safe.

I do hope that makes sense and I hope someone can help. I have e mailed Sprenger direct so will post the response once I get it for anyone else that's interested.

Please, please, please find this out for me too. Mine have been in every which way but.........................ARHHHHH!!! Even those that sell them don't sem to know!

I put mine on so that when the stirrup is in "riding position " I could look down at the tread and Sprenger would be written the right way up.
They were very comforatable and I haven't fallen off yet to test if they release the foot.
Not sure if this is correct though, I honestly didn't think it would matter too much, as the the bow bit looks the same either way.

Well TBH, that's what I've done

I've always had mine that way too but somebody looked at them (who knows her stuff!) and said they were on the wrong way. This could result in your foot getting stuck if I did fall off.

I want to make sure I have them on the safest way so the mystery continues...
