Sprenger duo bits

Has anyone used one? Keen to hear opinions on them. Many thanks.

Are they the plasticy ones? If so, use nathe bits, horse accept them better as they are slimmer

Yes they are...but they have reduced the thickness now to 16mm. The other one I was looking at was the Nathe butterfly flip but can find very little info on them.

Strong Horse with a very soft mouth apt to splitting. I have the right amount of control in a universal bit but have been recommended a plastic one for his mouth.

Hmm, ok. Personally dont like the 2 ring gag type bits. Actually find horses go quite differently in them to univerals too as there is more leverage action. Nathe do a bit which is basically a universal, so the bottom ring is inset into the snaffle? If he goes well in a universal, may be worth a try? www.bitworld.co.uk have them in definitely as I almost brougt one a month or two ago!!

I use the first one, can thoroughly recommend that ebay seller too.

Ive used a duo, nathe and happy mouth and liked the duo as it had room for the tongue. It was rather thick though so it sounds good that theyve made them thinner now. They didnt suit my boy though.
