Has anyone used the above bit on a native pony? I'm also looking at the KK Ultra Loose Ring Snaffle.

Are they slighly chunky for a native? Is the lozenge smaller than say NS or Myler?

Any feedback appreciated.

Hi, I havent used them on a Native but have both bits and you can buy them in different thicknesses, so wouldnt be too thick if you bought a thinner one.

Dynamic RS comes in 14mm or 16mm thickness, the KK ultra in 14mm, 16mm and 18mm (at least that's what I have seen). The neue schule range is the same although I believe the verbindend comes in 12mm. Your average bit thickness is usually 16mm.

The Myler bits are thinner but the action of the KK / NS and Myler is different. The 'lozenge' in all but a couple of the Myler bits is actually covering the joint and that joint either collapses only so far or not at all (the barrel mouthpieces). It also allows the side movement. The lozenges in the KK / NS bits act on the tongue via the angle of their rotation and the bits fully collapse (ie the closure isn't restricted). The Dynamic RS is more curved than the KK throughout.
