Has anyone tried these and how did you find them if so? I really like the sound of them for my horse who is really quite sensitive but would be interested to hear if anyone has first hand experience of them.

Also how did you decide whether to go for a single jointed one or a lozenge? The one with the lozenge sounds suitable on paper but my horse hasn't read the description and my other horse hates lozenges!

I'd hire from a bit bank but just wanted to hear from others who've tried them first.

I have used the 12mm single joint loose ring on Rooni ever since I got him (3yr ago) so feral to PSG journey. He uses the same snaffle as the bridoon on his double bridle. Really rate it.

He is very light, quite sensitive, prone to becoming BTV. Small square mouth with very low palate.

Thanks for this. Mine is only a baby too and also has a small mouth and his default is head up in the air, although he's much happier in an eggbutt than a loose ring, which he can get really quite tense in. In an eggbutt he can be really quite strong / heavy in my hand but doesn't really do anything with that strength. That was why I tried a loose ring but clearly he doesn't like the movement with that. I think it sounds like the eggbutt with a lozenge could be worth a go and I guess it's just going to be trial and error to see how he gets on with it.
