Whats the difference (except for price) between their snaffles with the angled lozenges. Is it worth spending the extra money on a sprenger? Has anyone tried them both and noted an improvemt in their horse's way of going in one compared to the other? Thanks!!

Sorry never used a sprenger, but wanted to say that my 2 boys go really well in neue schules, they are comfortable in them and I wouldn't use anything else now.

I had a sprenger KK on mine and he wasn't 100% in it swapped him to a Myler (much thinner) and he has never gone better, he obviously has a small mouth and prefers a thinner bit.

I've used both and found both horses went well in them, I'd without a doubt only use a KK or NS , would not put cheap bits in my horses mouth. Can't say between the two though both very good, my current horse is in NS team up bit and goes well in it

Have tried KK, NS and Myler bits for my Arabians over the years. They definately feel more comfortable in their way of going in NS and Myler bits. I use a NS snaffle for schooling, showjumping and hacking. Myler pelham (double reins, always!) for XC and hunting. Arabians (well, my two, anyway) tend to have narrow mouths, low palates and relatively thick tongues and find narrower bits more comfortable.
