Spring cleaning the donkey...Cute overload!

Today was the day, we decided. Donkey had become a walking dustball, every movement caused clouds of crud and if you dared pat him you'd lose visibility past 2m. It was bath time...

Take one dirty donkey

Soak well in warm water

They don't like this bit.

Soap well

Rinse...

Note the water looks like chocolate milk... Rinse again

Donkeys are hand dry only

Be mindful of escape attempts.

And then dress as beach donkey and tell him he is the cutest thing on 4 legs

Give smooches. They deny they like this, but if you stop they will kick.

Yes, he's been in a heavyweight rug all winter because of this and is still clinging to his winter coat. Today's shorts and t-shirt weather with us, so we're hoping he'll dry nicely over lunchtime

He's got a skin condition though, so has needed this since January but there's never been a suitable day where he won't freeze

Gerard needs intense bribery- he got to snuffle up Reg'sleft-over ERS pellets post-bath, and then got kisses and cuddles, and he now might just be good for the next few days!
