Urgh! Anyone else suffering with the effects of spring grass? :o

Ronnie is officially full of beans today! He was a total numpty and ended up bombing about in the indoor school squealing like a little piglet and broncing.. :p

Myself and a friend decided it would be fun to ride our boys out in the summer field (we've put a couple of tiny tiny x poles there to have a play) and also get them schooling on grass, mainly so she gets her cob going nicely ready for our summer show at the end of april and I wanted to have a play on said jumps. Turns out Ronnie had other ideas...he couldn't even walk properly he was so full of it, skipping about like some hyper hippo so after a while I admitted defeat and took him in the school to lunge. Again, not a chance! He's usually saintly in the school, but today there was just one too many rockets up his backside and off he went, skippy hoppy across the school like a child on blue smarties :D Shockingly, he voluntarily decided to take himself over some trotting poles a previous rider had left out.. he couldn't even do that! Ended up doing some retarded leap across them and tripping over the last one!

Looks like tomorrow will be an interesting ride, definitely sticking him on the long reins to begin :D :D

So, who else has had an 'interesting' day with hyper horses? I hope i'm not the only one! :)

Oh, and heres a video from our canter hack the other day. It was so much fun having a good blast on him and I even had some brakes :)

Saint through winter devil through summer ! And if being in season isn't enough to push my buttons the grass comes through! Had a lovely fall today :) because she decided to buck rear and take of in school haha

Yes I have a nutty Mr Cob who decided today everything should be accessorised with a squeal... Went to the yard last week to bring him in one day and he appeared to be replicating the wall of death around the field...

Glad i'm not the only one! :D

Today was better, although to start with Ronnie decided that I need to practice some jet skiing on the long reins in preparation for my non-existent summer holiday :o :p Soon settled down.. lets hope that's the worst over with!!

Hmmm. My cob decided he needed to play racehorses with my pony on the final stretch of our hack back to the yard tonight!! Resulted in 2 very sweaty ponies having to wait an extra hour before they could have their tea or a rug on for the night!! Silly spring grass!! ;)
