spring grass!

reading other posts on here sounds like the grass is really on its way now, H's poop is def much greener and he is feeling pretty well.
guess we should all heed the warning from others about colic risk, not to mention the lammis around.
am off to refence the field this weekend otherwise will have a rather round neddy before too long!

guess ours may be quicker than others since there are only 10 sheep, 2 ponies and H grazing 10 acres!

We have only 3 horses on 10 acres and merlin has half of that to himself at the moment!!!

But I still give him a scoop of chaff, one of sugar beet and a little mix once a day.... and two slices of hay in a dustbin which he clears. He isnt a greedy horse but is looking pleasantly rounded at the moment!!!

Grass must be coming through as poo is greenish and he is acting like a pratt!!!

Our grass is coming through as she's not eating all the hay in the field (ususlly does - she's a piggy wig)Horse is feeling a little fresh too!!! fun schooling over poles today!!!

Our grass is coming through now, girls happy munching all day without any hay in field. Noticed my girl's poo a bit greener this morning.

I am jealous too. I'd be happy just to see the ground, never mind the grass.

We are spending a lot on hay and will do for quite some time methinks.
