Spring is in the air

Doing the horses before work some of these cold, wet, miserable mornings lately has been a trial.

Not today though.

A beautiful morning, full of birdsong. Wonderful sky, and a mysterious mist hanging over the field. I put Mollie and her pal Mary out and they gave me this fab photo opportunity (you'll have to imagine the birdsong):

Hmmm, we had thick fog this morning. Felt really cold out, too. Did notice a lot of birdies tweeting in the hedge, though.

okay, a bit optimistic mentioning spring! I think we need a bit of positive thinking this time of year.

Well dawn broke beautifully here this morning. Bright sunshine, nip in the air, but lovely.
By the time I had mucked out, there was a blanket of fog so thick you couldn't see the horses 30 yards away. No hacking today then. Bum

That's a lovely photo.

It really felt like it could have been the middle of March yesterday, hacking in the sunshine. I hate to say it but I think we've got to have another cold spell or two before proper spring arrives.
