Spring Tree Saddles

Can some one talk to me about spring tree saddle

i own a dressage saddle that is stamped spring tree (i brought second hand)

it was to big for my old TB gelding

its to narrow for chance at present but wondering if the "spring tree" means there is a chance it can be made wider


so have i got my self confused and barking up the wrong tree here?

Most wooden trees are spring trees. Whether it can be adjusted depends on many factors - has it been adjusted much before? Is your fitter happy to do it (not all are)? Otherwise you need to ask the manufacturer and sent it to them. And then just because it looks like a small widening will make it fit, it's never as simple as that and might not fit once adjusted. Chat to your fitter .
