I don't think she's ever been more than 20 yards from me by choice. Literally, she showers with me.

Ah she’s lulling you into a false sense of security. ?. I do know you are a pro and it won’t happen ?.
Looking back at the pup we had, it may have been mates rates but it’s mum and grandmum are always doing their own thing on a days shooting. Not making excuses for my inability to cope, just a statement.

Photo from back in November when she arrived

Oh goodness, puppy dog eyes!! Springers would be inside your skin if they could. I have one permanently attached to me. If Bear can’t be on my knee due to his brother being there, he sulks in another room. However, it’s great for recall-just walk off and they panic!

Prices in Ireland are considerably less in adverts I’ve seen. There was a lovely looking litter of English setters that made me want to get on the ferry last week.

I've got a "ranger" - he's perfect for clearing drives at the end. He doesn't trial funnily enough! ;) Trial bred ones tend to be closer range than keeper/rough but a lot is how you deal with them. The pup above has mostly been trained in my meadow on placeboards so far, lots of outings to see life in the car, visit the supermarket, pet store etc. She's been out to maybe 10-12 places to train and it's literally carry under arm to place to hunt for five mins and a retrieve or two and back to car.....she's only just been introduced to a lead and won't be on a lead when out for a few months yet. All geared to trial....it would be different if I wanted her to be a shooting dog only

I have one and had her since a pup shes 9 now, working Springer x half working half show Cocker. Best dog ever!! I love her to bits! She's full of beans when she knows she can be but switches it off in the house. Easiest dog ever to train and perfect recall apart from squirrel deafness lol!! We've done loads of training and fly ball, she's like velcro with us and I wouldn't change her for the world.
