I'm looking for a new pair of spurs, however I have no idea which ones I want! He's generally good and forward however when turning, leg yielding ect I need that little bit extra to back my leg up.

I have no idea which ones to go for, I like the normal POW ones but what about the roller ball ones?

Thanks :)

I used to use POWs but found the blunt end was a bit sharp for my mare. I use bog standard short spurs with round ends now :)

Scroll down, look for the barrel spurs or the motionizer spurs. No rowels.

Mark Todd with the plastic roller balls are fairly gentle for my v hot type mare. They do them in different lengths and if you look on eBay you can pick them up with leather straps included

I'd maybe go for a bobble end spur if I needed it just for the yielding etc, I used the price of wales- but I reckon i shall be going roller ball soon. I have thought myself into thinking that they are kinder :p
I needed mine for back up of my leg though when going forward. ;)

I use the tom thumb ones for mine, just gives that little bit of a back up for when he is being lazy or when my brothers legs arent working right. X

Thanks Enfys, never seen them before
Would the comb spurs be similar, with the things on the inside?

:) Yes, they look the same idea as the motionizers (although we call them motivators)

Thankyou, I learn something new every day, stores 'comb' spurs away in mental filing box.:)
