Spurs rubbing ankles?

I got some roller ball spurs the other day and I’ve never had spurs on before. I’ve put them on my boots to try on and when I position them in place they rub my ankles when I walk and I’m in agony! As far as I’m aware my ankles aren’t that bony so I don’t know why they’re doing this
Anyone else had this?!

Yes, when I had them done up to tight. Try and loosen the strap a bit?

You can stretch the U shaped bit that goes around your ankle slightly. That solved it for me. You don't really want to loosen the strap because the spur shouldn't move when you use it
