Had a lesson today and rode in spurs for the first time and it was great to not be pony club kicking all the time.

I am trying to get my boy off the leg with lost of walk to trot etc and we are getting there but he is a cob and can be lazy

I browed a pair today and need to buy my own and will school him in them now and again to remind him to move of my legs

I dont want a huge pair etc so any ideas on make/style?

u dnt need any expensive spurs just a short rounded pair would suffice from the sounds of it

impulse spurs seem to be recommended at the mo... they have a small ball on the end so nicer for horsey.... my new boy is the same, i havent tried spurs but find lots and lots of transitions work if thats any use!
