Can anyone recommend me a decent pair of spurs that aren't too expensive? They'll really only be used for schooling, tried my pony in a pair today (owner came to visit and said I should give them a go) and he felt a lot easier! Normally to get him listening you have to have a battle and he always sets his jaw against you (am also going to use a flashstrap now) but hopped on him with spurs on, and he was going really nicely! I reckon if I now ride with a flash and spurs, it'll give him less ways to evade my aids as normally he sets his jaw and battles against you.

But yeah, happy! Thought I couldn't really improve on him anymore, but now we'll be into a whole different level of schooling!

Thanks!

i THINK i got mine from shires, but i swear by them. there black plastic (only training spurs so there a tad bit longer then normal) however, they can fit on everything and cost me about a fiver. theyve also lasted for over a year
