Today I took the Coblet Spyder to do a Medium and an Advanced Medium at my local EC.
Well.... we arrived in plenty of time, and warmed up well.
When I went to do my test the judge got out of his shed and told me off because I had forgotten to wear a number!!
Oops! Great start!
The bell rang and I entered beautifully, halted and saluted, and then tracked right and went into shoulder in.. DING!!!! The judge rang the bell... I had learnt the wrong test!!!!
The judge very kindly gave OH a copy of the test sheet, which he read for me... needless to say the test wasn't great as I had never looked at it before, but Spyder tried hard, and we won the open section with 60.9% with a few marks taken off for the errors of course! (and a flying change in the med canter
)
We double checked that I had learnt the right AM, which I had, and again he warmed up well, much more uphill and responsive.. he handled the changes extremely well, and apart from a blip where he broke in the walk, he did a nice test. The judge was not impressed that I STILL had no number on... but gave me a score of 62.64% and first overall!
We did tie with another horse but won on the collectives!
Hopefully he will sell super quick now! ( not long till psg!!
)
Thanks to HG for her help and Law... spot the gillet!! *runs and hides*
(I love it)
Sorry about the picture quality... still have a cr*p camera!!
