Squeaky HorseShoes

Morning

Twizzy was shod lst week and her shoes has been squeaking......any ideas as to why?

OMG! I read that completely wrong and read it as "Twizzy was SHOT last week" ARGH!

my horse gets squeeky shoes too! His hooves get oiled every morning (retired dad has turned into an amazing groom :OP ) and still his shoes can squeak.. not sure why tho!

Its probably the dry weather. The hoof rubs on the shoe and makes a squeaking noise my mare has it when its very hot and dry and my old mare had it as well. The hoof shrinks a little bit in the dry weather.

Thanks for posting this! I read it earlier, my horse has just been shod, just after I read the post and guess what!!!! His shoes are squeaking! I am holding you responsible

mine was doing this!!! so i started to oil her feet as the farrier advised.. didn't work so now i water them i think its because of the lack of rain and moisture in the grass her feet like dried out!
