I just thought I would share on here the news I saw this morning on Facebook that the SSGB Silent Auction for the Help for Heroes charity raised an amazing £14,350.29!

I think that is just an astounding sum and I believe according to FB that not all the donations were JUST from the auction but also from generous people who came to the showcase and wanted to donate!!!!

All I can say is WELL DONE to the team and I amsure the charity is going to be overjoyed with this donation!
 
The final amount is superb and for such a great cause. Well done everyone who donated, either lots, bids or individual donations. Congratulations Shirley Light and her team, a great job done.

I think its fantastic, my father is in the falklands for 6 months after just coming back from a 6 month stint in afganistan and our family are constantly worried, but its his job and he loves it. It gives me and my family great pleasure knowing that there are people who do actually care about service men and women.
