Horrific - why do we never hear what these monsters get as punishment ?

We never hear of them because they are usually teenagers and so are protected from the public.

Same with the lad who stabbed the Shetland pony to death. He was 15yo so we will never know what happened to him. I suspect he got a slap on the wrist, told to behave and given an xbox to make him happier and help him get over "his awful childhood that made him the way he is".
