Stable Banages

Mine wears magnetic wraps on his fronts in an attempt to get rid of bloody horrible splints. Nothing on his backs and I don't really see the need. Other horse wears thermatex wraps on all four due to fillling. Before I discovered leg wraps I used to bandage, but wraps do the job and are so much easier.

Have never bandaged a horse (except to deal with a specific injury), have never had a horse with filled legs..don't worry about warmth - they have really deep straw beds..wouldn't knock anybody who has the time or need to do it though

I have a white legged one who has his hair off them too who has bandages when its cold.
And if they've had a hard day jumping, as landing from 1.30 several times then standing about all night cant be the best for their legs!

We used to bandage our equine OAP at night during winter - to help keep her warm & prevent her legs from filling overnight, especially when her turn out was limited. Otherwise, tend to use them 'as and when' needed. x x x
