My mare (who is forest born and bred) has recently foaled. I put a bed down in the stable for her in case she wished to foal inside (she didn't) but the cheeky cow comes in to have a poo or a wee then goes out again. All my ponies live out 24/7 so I don't have mucking out of stables normally, just daily poo picking :)

Does anyone else's pony do this? Foal is now doing the same too. Cheeky pair!

When my old pony was alive the field shelter was 'his room', his favourite mare was allowed in and the gelding was allowed to put a head in but not whole body. It was spotless, no wee, no poo ever. Since he died it has been used as a toilet, they have pulled planks off, chewed the wood and the big horse has scratched his bum so hard he has moved a pillar. It is outrageous behaviour.
