Stable colours

So our yard is currently painted black on bottom and white on top.
Doors are black.
But I was thinking about brightening the place up and doing each stable a different colour.
Like my chestnuts orange, my other mare pink, the geldings blue/green etc!
What are peoples thoughts?
This is what their currently like.

Could get expensive with all the different colours but if that’s not an issue I’d go for it.

Maybe not yellow...isnt that an 'avoid' colour for horses?

Maybe do a bit of research into how they see colours and which will be calming and normal to their eye.

I would just paint the doors I think, I like a traditional black and white wall. But if you don't mind extra work go nuts and paint all of it, do it in rainbows if it makes you happy!

Boring me! I’m not sure, a friend did all hers in a lovely sage green and it looked gorgeous.
I have colour co-ordinated stuff, mare has lots of pink things, stable hangers holding brushes (pink) buckets etc but I’m not sure about the actual stables!
Maybe one back wall I think all different doors wouldn’t look very smart.

No I like black doors. Was just thinking all different coloured stables would really brighten the place up!
Though I do love the classic black and white(maybe with a border of gold between the two!)

A yard I worked at had brown and cream stables. They looked very smart.

Our outbuildings are all black and white and the house too, always has been. Very boring but just our preference. If you want rainbow colours then you have rainbow colours, go for it, you do you and I'll do me!

Mine are Sandtex Chalk Hill and Sandtex Vermont Grey, with dark grey partitioning and barn doors.

Would you then need to buy coordinated headcollar, saddlepad, grooming kit, buckets etc to go with each stable? It could get expensive!!!

We did this to some indoor stables that were black on the bottom and white on top. The stables had bars inbetween so the next stable colours could be seen. We knew the yard would eventually be demolished, which it has been now, so it didn't really matter what it looked like. To be honest it looked awful!! It made some of the stables seem really small.

I like the idea of colour, but I think one colour throughout would look better. If you fancy multiple colours why not try it though? You can always paint over it if you hate it!

Or black and white but that horse’s colour as a band around? Then it’s a little splash of colour without being too much? And easy to redo if you move them about!

The previous yard I was on had multi coloured doors, I managed to subconsciously line my buckets up to clean in the same order

I did mine dark green at the bottom.

Which would be lovely if I didn’t have pink stable mats!
